Photograph album of images taken by Samuel C. Lancaster, designer and engineer of the Columbia River Highway in Oregon. The photographs were taken in 1911 and 1913 and depict the dry masonry construction process of building the highway, as well as a view from Mount Hood that was taken by Lancaster from Sam Hill's estate at Maryhill, Wash., where Lancaster built an experimental road for Hill in 1909.
